Terms of service
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Telcopolis (“Telcopolis”, “we”) is a strategy game about running a mobile network, played at www.telcopolis.com and published by Christophe Eyquem, a sole proprietor, Costa del Este, Panama City, Panama. By creating an account or playing it, you accept these terms. Please read them, with our privacy policy.
1. Who can play
You must be 13 or older to make an account. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should read and accept these terms with you.
2. Your account
- One account per person, with an email address you control. Signing in uses a link we email you, or Google.
- Keep access to your email and your devices safe: what is done with your account is your responsibility.
- Tell us at contact@telcopolis.com if you think someone else used it.
3. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to play Telcopolis for your own, non-commercial use. We may withdraw it if you break these terms. The game, its code, art, texts and data are ours or our licensors', and all rights are reserved.
Unless we agree in writing, you must not:
- copy, republish, sell, rent or sub-license the game or parts of it;
- reverse engineer it, except as far as the law allows you to;
- play it with bots or scripts, or exploit a bug to change your results or anyone else's;
- collect data from it automatically (scraping), or overload or attack it.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Telcopolis for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent, don't impersonate anyone, and don't try to reach accounts, servers or data that aren't yours. If you find a flaw, tell us at contact@telcopolis.com rather than using it.
5. A game, not advice
Telcopolis is a simulation for entertainment and learning. Its countries, operators, makers and numbers are fictional or simplified; nothing in it is financial, investment, technical or legal advice. Any likeness to a real company is coincidental.
6. The service and your saves
We work to keep Telcopolis available and your games safe, but the game may change, pause for maintenance, or stop, and we can't guarantee that every save is kept. Your browser keeps your games, and our server too while you are signed in: export the ones you care about from the game's menu. The 2G era is free to play; the later eras are sold (section 7).
7. Buying eras
The 2G era (1991–2001) is free. The 3G, 4G and 5G eras are sold one by one or the three together, at the prices shown on our pricing page and in the game before you buy, in US dollars (your bank may convert them); the checkout shows the final price for your country, with any VAT or sales tax.
- Who sells. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all our orders: it takes the payment, charges and files the taxes, sends your receipt and handles refunds, under its own buyer terms. We never see your card.
- What you get. The right to play that era with your Telcopolis account, for as long as Telcopolis is offered, under the licence of section 3. It belongs to your account: it can't be transferred or resold.
- At once. The era unlocks in the game a few seconds after you pay. Before paying you ask for this immediate access, and acknowledge that where the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content (in the European Union and the United Kingdom, for example), you lose that right once the era is unlocked.
- Refunds. A full refund within 14 days of your purchase, as long as you haven't played the era yet (none of your games has gone past its first day); once played, only if it doesn't work and we can't fix it. The three eras bought together are refunded whole or not at all. A refunded era locks again, as does one whose payment is disputed with your bank; your games are kept, and go on once you own the era again. The details are in our refund policy.
- Players aged 13 to 15. A parent or guardian must make the purchase.
- Prices, sales and discount codes. Prices may change and sales may run, each showing in the game when it ends; a sale's price is for purchases made while it runs. A discount code is typed on the checkout page, one discount per purchase; it has no cash value. A change never takes back an era you own.
8. Our liability
The game is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for a loss of data, profit or opportunity coming from playing it or from its interruption. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time on your account page, or ask us to by writing to contact@telcopolis.com from its email address. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why when we can.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above changes, and we tell you in the game or by email about significant changes. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can delete your account.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, where Telcopolis is published, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
